Additions, changes and repairs I have made to the car:
Moved the battery from the trunk to the original position in the engine compartment, the car now starts better and the electrical components including the Covertible Top seems to work better.
Replaced the master cylinder from the stock single reservoir, to a dual reservoir system for safety. The master cylinder I used was from a 1967 Mustang. I also added a switch to the brake pedal to operate the brake lights.
Relocated the two main wiring harnesses, which were cut and routed outside the engine compartment by the pervious owner, (one harness was routed next to the front wheel in the fender well area and the other into the firewall and back out), have been return back to the stock routing.
Added filler board to the trunk area and a Trunk mats.
Replaced clutch, Throw-out Bearing and resurfaced Flywheel.
Replaced the damaged oil pan and replace most of the engine gaskets. No more drips on garage floor!
Repaired hole and other damage in the engine compartment. Than I repainted re-painted the engine compartment the original black color.
Installed CD unit which came with car but was not installed and add a windshield antenna to get the AM/fM radio working.
Installed an Alternator in place of the existing Generator.
Relocated the original gas filler to inside the trunk. This modification allows me to fill the car fast with no spills. More Info
Re-built main under dash wiring harness. NO more bare and broken wires.
Add the correct under dash interior and rear license lights.
Repaired the center transmission support mount and floor board which was cut way to work with the tailshaft from a 1967 Fairlane (shifter located to Far back) that was installed in the car. With the addition of the correct Falcon tailshaft, mounting support bracket and a Hurst Comp Plus Shifter, these repairs allows the shifter to enter the interior in the stock position. These changes also allowed me to move the console back to its original position.
Added the hoses, nozzle and washerbag to car to get the windshield washing system working.
Installed a new carpet and had the drive seat repaired.
Restored the dash by replacing the after market radio that was installed in the car. Added a patch panel, repaint and then installed the stock radio both purchase from E-bay and obtained and replated the radio plastic. See the before and after pictures.
Add after market radio under dash and then recloacted the engine gage set under radio housing
Rebuilt the calipater with stainless steel pistons and new front brake pads.
Replaced current radiator with 3 row Aluminum Radiator to improve overall cooling.
